This hiking thing is turning out to be pretty awesome.
This was our first foray into the Cascade montane highlands (4673 ft. maximum) so we decided we could climb 2 peaks, Tomlike Mountain and Chinidere Mountain. I wouldn’t classify them as actual mountains though.
I did not read the trail description, so I had no idea what to expect. The trail to Tomlike Mountain is a user trail and not maintained, but it is mostly open so you don’t really need a trail. There was a little bit of scrambling, but nothing serious. Chinidere is more straightforward with similar views but more sheltered.
